The Manaslu Expedition offers an extraordinary journey to the eighth highest peak in the world, standing at 8,163 meters (26,781 feet). Located in the Mansiri Himal range in Nepal, this formidable mountain presents climbers with a challenging and rewarding adventure. The expedition takes you through diverse landscapes, from lush forests and terraced fields to glacial moraines and high-altitude passes. Along the way, you’ll experience the rich culture of the local communities and the serene beauty of the Manaslu region.

Itinerary
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Our team will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Take some time to rest and recover from your journey. In the evening, we will have a welcome dinner and briefing about the expedition.
Spend the day exploring the cultural and historical sites of Kathmandu, including Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath Stupa. Finalize your preparations for the expedition, including checking equipment and gear.
Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola, passing through scenic landscapes, terraced fields, and traditional villages. The drive takes approximately 7-8 hours.
Begin the trek following the Budhi Gandaki River. The trail passes through dense forests, cascading waterfalls, and picturesque villages. Overnight in Machha Khola.
Continue trekking along the Budhi Gandaki River, crossing suspension bridges and walking through terraced fields. Reach Jagat, a charming village with stone-paved streets.
The trail climbs and descends through lush forests, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Pass through several small villages and reach Deng for an overnight stay.
The trail continues through the serene landscapes of the Manaslu region. Cross bridges over the Budhi Gandaki River and walk through bamboo forests. Reach Namrung, a village with a beautiful monastery and traditional houses.
Trek through rhododendron forests and cross the Lho and Shyala villages. Enjoy breathtaking views of Manaslu and other surrounding peaks. Arrive in Samagaon, a picturesque village with ancient monasteries.
Take a rest day to acclimatize. Explore the village and visit the Pung Gyen Gompa or take a short hike to the Manaslu Base Camp.
Continue trekking through the arid landscapes towards Samdo, a village near the Tibetan border. The trail offers stunning views of the mountains and the surrounding valleys.
Spend the day acclimatizing in Samdo. Explore the village, interact with locals, and take short hikes to nearby viewpoints.
Begin the trek to Manaslu Base Camp, where you will set up camp and start preparations for the climb. The trail offers incredible views of the Manaslu Glacier and surrounding peaks.
This period is dedicated to acclimatization, training, and the actual ascent of Mount Manaslu. You will have several rotations between Manaslu Base Camp and higher camps to acclimatize and prepare for the summit push.
After the summit, begin your descent. Trek back to Samdo, retracing your steps through the serene landscapes.
Continue descending to Namrung. Enjoy the scenic views and the hospitality of the local villages.
Trek back to Jagat, passing through the beautiful forests and terraced fields of the Manaslu region.
Descend further to Machha Khola, enjoying the final days of trekking in the Manaslu region.
Trek back to Soti Khola, where the trek began. Celebrate the completion of the expedition with your team.
Drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenic journey through the countryside. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and rest.
Take a well-deserved rest day in Kathmandu. Explore the city, do some shopping, or simply relax. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner.
Transfer to the airport for your international flight home.

FAQs
The best time is during the pre-monsoon (spring) season from April to early June and the post-monsoon (autumn) season from late September to November, when weather conditions are most favorable for climbing.
Climbers should have excellent physical fitness, prior high-altitude climbing experience, and technical climbing skills. Experience with ice and rock climbing is essential.
Acclimatization days are built into the itinerary to help climbers adjust to the altitude. Proper hydration, gradual ascent, and physical conditioning are crucial for coping with high-altitude conditions.
